Thom Glace is a transparent watercolor artist, specializing in studies of fish, bird and dragonfly species. He became an artist in a round-about way… A local native to this area and a UNC-Chapel Hill grad, Thom and his wife Mary lived a nomadic lifestyle. Thom had positions in St. Croix, New Hampshire, North Carolina & The Netherlands. 12 years ago, Thom had a catastrophic heart attack, disabling him. After a year in bed, he tried his hand at watercolors to busy himself. After honing his skills to an exceptional level, he is now an internationally established and collected artist and is shown in many galleries across the country. Thom has also been a featured artist in many wildlife, trout and fly fishing magazines and at the 2014 Virginia Fly Fishing Festival.
On Tuesdays, in good weather, he is found on the limestone fed waters around Central Pennsylvania, conducting research for future watercolors
